Julia Hoggett joined the London Stock Exchange as CEO in 2021, becoming the first openly gay person to hold the role, and is also Head of Digital and Securities Markets at LSEG, and Chair of the UK’s Capital Markets Industry Taskforce. Julia has advocated for equity, diversity and inclusion for two decades, discussing topics including LGBTQ+ progression with financial institutions, industry associations, and media. At LSEG, Julia has hosted Market Ceremonies for Trans Awareness Week and Lesbian Visibility Week. Julia led the 2023 Outstanding LGBTQ+ Executives list and has featured in Financial News’ 100 Most Influential Women list and the Diva Power and Pride Power lists. Julia is a member of Stonewall Women’s Ambassador Group and during her time at the FCA, sat on its Executive Diversity Committee. She has been doing AI work at Google for over 16 years and is currently focused on harnessing the power of technology to accelerate the impact of nonprofits & civic entities around the world. As one example, Jen’s team worked with Spelman College to build a first-of-its-kind database dedicated to spotlighting the achievements of Black women in STEM, as well as uncovering data and insights about their experiences. Outside of work, Jen serves as President on the Board of Directors at The Women’s Building, a community center that helps women & families gain access to critical social services, and is on the Executive Advisory Board of Lesbians Who Tech, an organization that works to ensure women, women of color, and nonbinary leaders reach pay equity and hold positions of power at every level. 

Emily Hamilton

Emily provided internal leadership in intersectional support of LGBTQ+ people through the internal ERGs for Women and LGBTQ+ people, successfully working to add full Transgender health cover, endometriosis cover and equal access to IVF for same sex couples in the corporate private health scheme. As a director of the Business Inclusion organization, Trans in the City, Emily has delivered inclusion talks to in excess of 160 organizations over the last year, and supported many organizations in the development of transition and dignity at work policies, as well as personal mentoring of senior executives undertaking transition. She founded and chairs the first LGBTQ+ Rugby supporter’s association in the professional game, QuinsPride, and has spoken with the leaders of the game in England and beyond to promote inclusion of Trans and LGBQ+ players, fans and staff across the sport. Sentiment on HSBC’s annual inclusion index survey measures positively at 78%, while LGB+ sentiment indexes even higher at an astounding 80% globally. As Director of Policy for the NHS Confederation, Layla McCay is a national leader in health policy. She also runs the Health and Care LGBTQ+ leaders network which advocates for better inclusion in the health and care sectors, and she consistently role models and communicates about diversity on internal and public platforms. Layla came to international prominence this year for her contribution to LGBTQ+ workplace inclusion via the publication of her book, Breaking the Rainbow Ceiling: How LGBTQ+ People Can Thrive and Succeed at Work (Bloomsbury). Her exploration of how being LGBTQ+ can affect people’s careers, and how to overcome inequalities combines research with insights from senior executives who are LGBTQ+; it has inspired new discussions and actions across workplaces and leadership communities. Within her own organisation, Layla is executive sponsor for the NHS Confederation’s thriving LGBTQ+ staff group, which has achieved increases in staff engagement, inclusion and wellbeing.

Rafal Dembe

For a number of years he was one of the leaders of LGBT+ Diamonds Awards, the most prestigious initiative in Poland promoting inclusive business practices. He is actively involved in cross-company cooperation of LGBTQ+ leaders within an informal coalition of corporate LGBTQ+ and as a member of Advisory Board to Open for Business program in Poland. For his contribution he received in 2023 the Polish Diversity Award and was a finalist of Santander.

Thomas Loeffert

Since joining the company, Thomas Loeffert, Chief Human Resources Officer at Kyriba, has driven transformative DEI initiatives. Drew B. Mallory

Drew B. Mallory, Professor of Management and Organizations at Sasin School of Management, has led groundbreaking efforts in intersectional inclusion at Sasin and across Thailand. Since 2020, "Dr. Drew" has overseen Sasin’s inclusion policy, the first of its kind in Thai higher education. He has implemented inclusive policies, such as same-sex benefits, gender-neutral admissions, counseling, and reporting mechanisms to ensure psychological safety. Drew also spearheaded the creation of the Prime Minister-endorsed LGBTQ+ Toolkit for Organizations, establishing Sasin as a national leader in inclusivity. A champion for diverse voices, he conducted the world’s first academic study on trans* professional leadership and is the research director of the Neurodiversity at Work Research Centre (NWRC). Mark Baker

In his former job he was co-founder and co-chairman of pbPride, the LGBTQ+ employee network of Postbank (Deutsche Bank Group). Matthias is a mentor for young LGBTQ+ talents and is both the co-founder and president of the European Pride Business Network, the umbrella organization for now 19 organizations from 16 nations for European LGBTQ+ professionals. They run the europeanwide WISE project for LGBT+ qual rights at the workplace, granted by the European union. Ciaran Clemmow is the Executive Director of Macro Sales at Morgan Stanley, where he advocates for diverse hiring practices to increase visibility for queer individuals on the trading floor. As the first sales and trading division member to appear on the firm's diverse voices podcast, he aimed to broaden the reach of their diversity message. An accomplished rugby player with the King Cross Steelers, Ciaran has actively worked to challenge stereotypes within the sport. He was featured in an Amazon documentary highlighting LGBTQ+ challenges in rugby and co-captained a team at the London Pride 7s to promote inclusivity. Originally from South Africa, he has lived in the U.S., Australia, and the U.K., witnessing firsthand how inclusivity can transform communities. Ebi Atawodi
