She was interviewed by Financial Times “Strategies for same-sex postings” as a case study. She also supports a Russian on-line community ‘Children 404’ by publishing her life story to show a positive role model/example, as well as  supporting/mentoring a few young LGBT people. Svetlana has supported quite a few appeals on gay rights, globally (UN) and locally (UK, Africa).
