Annika leads the Pride@BCG Network in Central and Eastern Europe as well as the Middle East. Within that role she is dedicated to promoting a LGBT+ friendly environment by providing people a safe place to come out and be themselves within the company as well as sensitize and inform non LGBT+ employees. Annika drives internal activities such as networking events, a mentorship and allies program as well as several internal marketing activities to broaden the awareness of LGBT+ within the company. Recently, she organized the Pride@BCG summit in Madrid with more than 100 BCG employees from all over Europe. Apart from her internal work, Annika implemented the survey “Out@Work” across Europe to understand the perceptions and expectations of LGBT+ talent in the corporate world. In addition, Annika co-authored a number of reports on the impact of corporate diversity. One of the latest reports “The Mix That Matters: Innovation Through Diversity” proves that management diversity drives innovation. It was broadly covered by renowned international media outlets such as Bloomberg, Forbes and Huffington Post. Moreover, Annika works with a School Foundation in Berlin to establish a more LGBT+ friendly environment in schools.
