Until recently, Cory served as the Global Leader for GLAD, Dow’s LGBTQ+ and Ally Employee Resource Group, and was responsible for setting and implementing the organization’s strategic priorities. As GLAD’s leader, Cory ensured Dow’s policies and practices led to a 100% rating for Dow on the HRC’s evolving Corporate Equality Index, resulting in the company’s 14th consecutive perfect score. Additionally, Cory served on Dow’s Joint Inclusive Council overseeing all ERGs, and continues to influence Dow’s innovative and sustainable inclusion strategy. Cory initiated a transition team to ensure there was a sustainable framework in place to support LGBTQ+ employees when DowDuPont separated into three independent companies. He was a featured speaker in a 2019 webinar hosted by the US Chamber of Commerce Foundation discussing The Positive Impact of LGBTQ+ Inclusive Practices in the Workplace and has been invited to speak to the value of inclusion at various forums. In 2016, Cory authored an op-ed titled “Creating an inclusive culture: How to step up LGBTQ+ support in your company and community” and continues to advocate best practices with other companies and organizations. He is the recipient of Dow’s 2019 Diamond Award for his contributions to GLAD and inclusion and diversity, and was awarded the 2017 American Chemical Society Regional Stanley C. Israel Award for advancing diversity in the chemical sciences.
